Start with clean, comfortable skin
Fragrance is easiest to judge when it is applied to clean skin without a strongly scented product competing underneath. If you use moisturiser, choose one whose scent works quietly with the perfume, and allow it to settle before spraying.
Individual results vary. Skin, weather, activity, application amount, and the fragrance formula all influence how a scent develops, so one person’s wear time should not be treated as a promise for everyone.
Choose application points deliberately
Wrists and the sides of the neck are common choices because they are easy to reach. Apply a controlled amount and let it dry naturally. Rubbing the wrists together is unnecessary and can change the way the opening develops on the skin.
- Keep spray away from the eyes and irritated skin.
- Avoid using more simply because the opening feels subtle.
- Give the fragrance time to move from its opening into its later character.
Skin and clothing are different surfaces
Fabric may retain scent differently from skin, but not every material responds well to perfume. Test discreetly first and avoid delicate, pale, or specialist fabrics where alcohol, oils, or colour could leave a mark. Never treat clothing application as automatically safer or longer lasting.
Store the bottle as carefully as you wear it
Keep perfume upright in a stable indoor place away from direct sunlight, strong heat, and repeated temperature changes. A bathroom shelf or hot car may look convenient, but both can expose a bottle to unstable conditions. The original box can add protection from light and knocks.
Layer and reapply with restraint
Layer only with products you already know are compatible with your skin and with the scent you want to wear. If you reapply, first notice what remains close to the skin; becoming used to a fragrance does not always mean it has disappeared for people nearby.
Velora and Olyen are sold as 80 ml Eau de Parfum. VERA does not publish a guaranteed wear time for either, so the most useful approach is measured application, careful storage, and realistic expectations.
